Floor Plan OCR Script

Spring 2025 | Course: Intro To Software Engineering
  • Used Poppler software to convert .pdf images of Wright State Universities floor plans to .png images.
  • Used Tesseract to extract the written room numbers inlcluding the x and y coordinates of the text.
  • Outputted all data into an excel sheet which was used in a Godot GDscript script to build floor node locations.
  • Used Python as the primary language to implement Poppler and Tesseract.
